The visitors of the total trade show have the opportunity to see the speed, reliability and reproducibility of the instrument. 24 - 26 April INTERPHEX 2007, New York For the first time the new Layer Explorer will be presented. The Layer Explorer accurately measures the thickness and homogeneity of the silicone oil layer on the inside of pre-filled syringes, giving you much more control of your siliconization process. The measurement principle and features of the instrument are also on http://www.siliconization.com web site. 17 - 20 April RDDEurope 2007, Paris rap.ID is happy to share its knowledge and experience from a row of foreign particles studies in the development and control of inhalers and nasal sprays with the experts in Paris. The services of rap.ID in foreign particulate matter studies from inhalable drug products are usually generated with the Liquid Particle Explorer. The fully automated solution with the integrated sampling system to measure organic and inorganic compounds in the size range from 2-10; 10-25; and 25-400µm. With its integrated automated imaging technique, combined with the spectroscopy the system is also able to identify false positives generated from filter failures or defects in the filtr.AID membrane. The integrated Raman Spectroscopy is good for the identification of organics and inorganics. Easily a custumer library of spectra of the materials used in the device can be updated. The Liquid Particle Explorer unit is on shown on our tabletop and visualizes the major advantages of the integrated sampling system filtr.AID in combination with the illumination and imaging technique. Ursula Hess from Altana and Dr. Oliver Valet present their results from a successfully performed foreign particles study with the title: "METHOD FOR FOREIGN PARTICLES COUNTING AND IDENTIFICATION IN A CELLULOSE SUSPENSION NASAL SPRAY FORMULATION".
