| Material Composition at 1/1000 mm rap.ID Particle Systems GmbH is a developer, manufacturer and worldwide distributor of mobile systems for automated isolation, detection and chemical analysis of microparticles in gases and liquids, as well as the thickness and distribution of nanolayers on glas surfaces. rap.ID also offers a worldwide unique contract testing service using its own analysis instruments. With many years of experience in application engineering and analysis service for more than 50 globally successful companies, rap.ID provides customized methods and equipment for isolation, characterization and identification of microparticles, qualified according to ISO 9001:2000. Particle Knowledge Is Process Knowledge Particles are of great importance in more and more industrial sectors, because of the ever-increasing reduction of components and structures, as well as the growing demand on product quality. Aside from products which have been manufactured under cleanroom conditions for decades, such as sterile pharmaceuticals, microchips, hard disks, LCD monitors, and implants, particle controls are also required on components for the car industry, such as ABS (antilock braking systems). This is of particular relevance in the following industries:
rap.ID’s main goal is to provide more and more companies with direct access to specific information on contaminant microparticles. This information is of growing importance, as it makes it possible for rap.ID’s customers to independently, quickly and safely take appropriate measures for particle minimization.
Prevention Instead of Damage Limitation rap.ID’s patented technology is the only alternative to the conventional cost-intensive manual systems. It is the first technology to allow fully-automated quantitative and qualitative material determination of particles of 0,5µm and larger. The statistically relevant determination of hundreds or even thousands of contaminant particles, such as polypropylene, skin scales or protein aggregates, allows fast detection of the main source of contamination. In parenteral drug production, when the product is contaminated with particles, entire batches must destroyed in accordance regulatory rules. Foreign particle studies for new drug approval often take several months when conventional methods are used. Particle Explorers, however, make it possible to conduct and validate qualified studies promptly. Particle contaminations on semiconductors and hard disks, for example, result in significant loss of quality and reduction of production yield. Inevitably, this results in economic damages sometimes amounting to millions. Particle Explorer minimizes the risk of unwanted contamination and accelerates new drug approval. |
